New footscan software features – release on 4th of july!
The upcoming footscan 9.3.0 release is packed with numerous new and highly visible features and a whole range of under-the-hood improvements and fixes.
First and foremost is the introduction of the new modular footscan approach.
By letting you decide what parts of footscan v9 are important for your business, we can provide you with a tight fit for your needs.
Each module allows you to extend the functionality of your footscan v9 system in specific ways, ranging from new and detailed analyses to integrating highly detailed 3D scans with your current pressure imprints.
The upcoming release already marks the arrival of several new modules:
The 3D Scan module:
Create a complete and detailed 3D scan of your subject’s foot, up to the ankle, to perform additional analyses on the shape and form of the feet.
3D scans can be exported as 3D mesh data to be used in external applications to cast a mold, create insoles, collaborate online or to easily archive the 3D mesh instead of real-life casts.
The Gait Ratios Analysis module:
Analyzes and identifies important parameters of the subject’s roll-off, matched against gait profiles of subjects with a low-risk of foot injuries.
The Balance Interval Analysis module:
A new Balance analysis will show information of the subject’s stability in a chosen set of intervals.
All these modules are optional and can be acquired individually at any time. Every module is guaranteed to be compatible with all new footscan 9 releases.
The upcoming release also extends on the original balance analysis functionality, which was already available in the previous 9.2.5 release of footscan 9.
The subject can be guided to stand on the plate to perform a correct and repeatable balance measurement by using the on-screen reference lines during a recording.
A start delay countdown is now also available, allowing the subject’s balance to settle first before the actual recording starts.
In the balance analysis itself, an option is added to select the used “coordinate system” in which position information is depicted.
You can select between “Plate coordinates”, which uses the same point of origin as defined by the plate, or “Division cross coordinates”, which will set the point of origin to the center of the division cross.
A manual division cross position is possible by manually moving the division cross to the desired location.
